Klepka, rivet, cobble: the language of the KLEPKA name
A careful author essay on the Russian wordplay around the project name.
In Russian the wordplay keeps working: клепка → клёпка → склепать (“to rivet / to cobble together”). Not a marketing slogan. A linguistic shadow that arrived with the alias.
“Cobble together” is not an insult
“Склепать” sounds rough — and there is honesty in that. The project grew from a joke and assembly: alias, fictional Jan, English-language rock. The name itself hints at handwork.
Still, do not turn etymology into pseudo-philosophy. Hearing the double sense — rivet / cobble — is enough, and remembering the music still has to hold form.
The name is riveted. The tracks are not.
